CRETE
Endless Experiences, One Extraordinary Island
Crete is a destination of endless contrasts, where majestic mountains, crystal-clear waters, and timeless traditions come together. Whether exploring picturesque villages, discovering secluded beaches, or enjoying its world-renowned cuisine, every journey here feels unique.
EXPLORE CRETE
There are many beautiful islands in Greece, but if there is one destination that truly offers something for everyone, it is Crete. As Greece’s largest island, Crete is not simply a beach destination. It is a complete world of its own. Dramatic coastlines, charming Venetian towns, mountain villages, award-winning wineries, exceptional gastronomy, luxury villas, hiking trails, sailing adventures, water sports, and some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe all come together on a single island. What I love most about Crete is that every traveller discovers a different side of it. Some fall in love with Chania’s picturesque harbour. Others return year after year for the food, the wineries, the hiking trails, or the endless coastline.

Taste Authentic Cretan Cuisine
Dakos The most iconic Cretan dish. A barley rusk topped with fresh tomatoes, creamy local cheese, olive oil and oregano. Simple, fresh and incredibly delicious.
Kalitsounia Traditional Cretan cheese pies that can be served sweet or savoury. Every region has its own version and locals are fiercely proud of their recipes.
Apaki A traditional smoked pork delicacy seasoned with local herbs. One of the island’s most distinctive flavours.
Antikristo Lamb Perhaps the most authentic meat experience in Crete. Lamb is slow-cooked around an open fire using a technique that dates back centuries.
Staka A rich local delicacy made from sheep’s milk cream, often served with eggs or pasta.
Tsikoudia (Raki) No meal in Crete truly ends without a small glass of Tsikoudia. It is often offered complimentary after dinner and perfectly reflects Cretan hospitality.

Hike the Samaria Gorge
The Samaria Gorge is one of Europe’s most famous hiking experiences.
Stretching through the White Mountains and ending at the Libyan Sea, it offers breathtaking scenery and a completely different perspective on Crete.
For nature lovers, it is an experience not to be missed.
Chania
If I had to recommend just one area for a first visit to Crete, it would almost always be Chania.
The combination of Venetian architecture, luxury villas, world-class beaches, excellent restaurants, boat excursions and mountain scenery makes it one of the most desirable locations on the island.
The old harbour remains one of the most beautiful in Greece, while nearby villages and coastal resorts offer the perfect balance between privacy and accessibility.
Elounda & Agios Nikolaos
For travellers looking for refined luxury, exceptional service and elegant surroundings, Elounda and Agios Nikolaos are among Crete’s most prestigious destinations.
Here you’ll find some of Greece’s finest resorts, beautiful villas overlooking Mirabello Bay, gourmet dining and easy access to private yacht charters.
Rethymno – Authentic and Elegant
Located between Chania and Heraklion, Rethymno offers a wonderful mix of old-world charm, beautiful beaches and a relaxed atmosphere.
Its Venetian old town is one of the most atmospheric in Crete and is perfect for travellers who enjoy wandering through narrow alleys filled with cafés, boutiques and traditional tavernas.
Sissi – Crete’s Hidden Seaside Gem
Sissi is one of those places that many visitors discover almost by accident and then never forget. Unlike some of Crete’s larger resort towns, Sissi has managed to preserve its authentic fishing-village atmosphere.
The small harbour is lined with waterfront tavernas, colourful fishing boats and cafés where life moves at a wonderfully relaxed pace.
What I love most about Sissi is that it offers simplicity in the best possible way.
No crowds.
No rush.
Just beautiful sea views, excellent seafood and the kind of atmosphere that encourages you to slow down and enjoy the moment.
For couples and families looking for a quieter side of Crete, Sissi is a fantastic choice.
Sitia – Crete’s Best-Kept Secret
If Chania is Crete’s star, then Sitia is its hidden treasure. Located on the eastern side of the island, Sitia remains one of the least commercialised regions in Crete.
Here you’ll discover a slower, more authentic Greece.
Traditional villages.
Untouched landscapes.
Family-owned tavernas.
And some of the most spectacular natural scenery on the island. The region is also home to the famous Vai Palm Beach, Europe’s largest natural palm forest and one of the most unique coastal landscapes in Greece.
For travellers seeking authenticity rather than crowds, Sitia is truly special.
