There are islands that impress you with dramatic scenery. There are islands that attract you with their nightlife And then there is Paros. An island that doesn’t try too hard to impress anyone, yet somehow becomes everyone’s favourite. Over the past few years, Paros has quietly transformed into one of Greece’s most desirable destinations. Luxury villas, boutique hotels, award-winning restaurants and stylish beach clubs now sit alongside traditional fishing villages, whitewashed alleyways and authentic tavernas that have remained unchanged for generations.

Kolymbithres

Perhaps the most iconic beach in Paros. Its smooth granite rock formations create natural swimming pools unlike anywhere else in Greece. The calm turquoise waters make it perfect for families and swimming.

Golden Beach

A paradise for water sports enthusiasts. Consistent winds, golden sand and excellent facilities make it one of Europe’s top windsurfing destinations.

Santa Maria

One of the liveliest beaches on the island. Perfect for beach clubs, water sports, paddleboarding and long lunches by the sea.

Faragas

A beautiful sheltered bay in southern Paros. The water is usually calm, making it an excellent choice for families and couples seeking a more relaxed beach experience.

Monastiri Beach

Located within an environmentally protected area, Monastiri combines beautiful scenery, calm waters and stunning hiking trails nearby. It is also one of the island’s best sunset locations.

Lageri Beach

A quieter alternative to Santa Maria. Its natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere make it a favourite among returning visitors.

The Culinary Side of Paros

One of the biggest reasons people fall in love with Paros is the food. Fresh seafood arrives daily from local fishing boats. Family-owned farms produce exceptional vegetables, olive oil and cheeses. Traditional Cycladic recipes meet modern Greek gastronomy in a way that feels completely natural.

Sigi Ikthios – Naousa One of the finest seafood restaurants on the island, serving exceptionally fresh fish in an elegant waterfront setting.

Siparos A beautiful restaurant overlooking the sea, famous for modern Greek cuisine and unforgettable sunset dinners.

Mario Restaurant Located in Naousa’s harbour, Mario is one of the island’s classic dining experiences combining excellent seafood with a wonderful atmosphere.

Barbarossa An institution in Paros. Elegant, lively and famous for transforming dinner into one of the island’s most memorable evenings.

To Balcony tou Aki Located in Lefkes, this charming restaurant offers traditional Cycladic cuisine with spectacular mountain views.

Wine & Local Flavours

Although neighbouring islands receive more attention for wine, Paros has a long winemaking tradition dating back thousands of years.

Moraitis Winery

One of the oldest wineries on the island, famous for excellent wine tastings and indigenous grape varieties.

Visitors can combine wine tasting with local cheeses and traditional products.

Antiparos – The Perfect Day Trip

No visit to Paros feels complete without spending a day on nearby Antiparos.

Just a short ferry ride away, the island offers a slower pace, elegant boutiques, beautiful beaches and one of Greece’s most charming village squares.

Many Yamas guests choose to combine Antiparos with a private boat charter exploring nearby Despotiko Island and hidden sea caves.
